Supper tonight

I made the best chicken noodle soup tonight. My oldest who doesnt like a lot of foods said it was better than Progresso soup which is what she likes.

Recipe is as follows
chicken stock
4 chicken breasts, cooked and deboned
1 onion
1 bag of baby carrots
1 bag of green beans
1 bag of corn
1 package of noodles( I used Penne)
Salt and Pepper to taste
cornstarch
water

Boil the chicken, cool and debone. Put all ingredients in stock pot except fofor cornstarch, water and noodles. Cook until vegetables are tender. Mix cornstarch and water to thicken just slightly. Add noodles last 7 minutes. I also had a loaf of fresh baked bread to go with it. All kids ate every bit of theirs.

Starting over

For the past few months I have been slacking on a lot of things and have just been spending so much money. I was talking with my mother about it this morning and it has to stop. I could have paid her and our medical bills off with the amount that I have spent on mindless stuff, etc. grocery shopping, out to eat and things that we thought we needed but really didn't. As of now, there will be more eating out this month except for my daughters birthday around the 20th. We always eat out for birthday. I am going to start making menus and actually going by them. I really need to cook more since the girls and Landon do not need to eat any more fastfood. I have been so guilty of that lately, its not even funny.

This weekend I will be making a menu for the next week and will definitely be going by it. I will also try to go shopping on Sat. or Sunday so I do not have to go back to the store.

Really dislike Walmart

This morning, I made a quick trip into Walmart to pick up some Parents Choice diapers. I know, I know there are too many good sales for Pampers and Huggies but I havent gone through my coupons this morning. The price on the counter was 4.97 but rang up for 6.24. I told her what the price was and she just looked at me and said well, I will have to do a price check and I dont need to leave. Okay so just go and get the dang price. I take her back and she sees and said oh...Then she calls a manager, what do I do? Give it to her for that price. Duh...Just think of everyone who went to buy it and paid 6.24 instead of making a scene about it.
